I just had my Fitbit vibrate to tell me I had done 10,000 steps but when I synced it with my tablet app, it said 5539 steps. How do I get them to accurately agree?

It's great to see you here, @skye1949.
Are you making sure to be successfully syncing your unit? If this issue is directly with syncing, I recommend taking a look at the help article: Why won't my Fitbit device sync? and follow the instructions provided there.
Let me know the outcome. 🙂

It seems to track everything else Ok. I have had to unpair and reconnect the fitbit charge 3 to my windows 10 tablet a couple of times. I plan a long walk this morning so I will see what it tracks. Thanks

My Fitbit charge 3 has buzzed me twice today to congratulate me on 10,000 steps but my app says 7,046. When I scrolled through the features on the watch and when I found the steps taken it agreed with the 7,046 so why did it vibrate to congratulate me on 10,000? Am I missing something?
Is it possible that my actual pace snowshoeing or walking is not the same as what the app is calculating?
Maybe my actual pace does not equal what Fitbit calls steps? It seems to be calculating the other features correctly. KM walked, stairs, heart beat etc.
