I just took a 9 minute brisk walk at work that elevated my heart rate, but when checked my dashboard, it says No Active Minutes. Why didn't it keep track of it? Was it too short? Not "active" enough? Anyone? Thanks!

It's great to see you around @Cscomoky.
Regarding your inquiry, no, you weren't active enough. You need to be in constant movement and doing an intense activity to earn active minutes. For more information check the help article What are active minutes?.
Let me know if you need anything else.

I'm having trouble too. Tried the trouble shooting
No active minutes, no steps per hour despite doing at least 250 every hour since 0500. Everything else seems to be adding despite not syncing since 2224 yesterday.

In a way I'm glad it isn't just me. I thought I'd done something wrong.
Could there be a little gremlin somewhere?

I've found that sometimes when the Fitbit is low on battery it doesn't record every activity. Try syncing manually again after it's connected to charger.
But I have also experienced this problem randomly, so not sure what is exact cause. Since 2 days my Charge 3 just stopped recording days of activity which it was until then.

I am experiencing the same. This always worked for me with the Charge 2. The charge 3 isn’t logging any active minutes.
This bites. I thought the Charge 3 was an upgrade.

I don’t agree with the accuracy of this answer. There is something not working with the active minutes function.
im very disappointed.

I walked 3.5 miles in 1:08:28 and 3.5 miles in 1:10:49 and no active minutes were recorded. If I had walked any faster, I would have been jogging. What is wrong with my active minutes? I bought my Fitbit Charge 3, 4 days ago. Please! I need an answer.

Hi Sami, here’s s what I learned over the past few months. You need to select an exercise, press start and then press go. There are very few exercise options. Kind of pathetic. You have to BOTh press start AND press go ( unclear why). Double clink when you’re done to press finish.
My critique: not enough exercise options. You should just press once to start.
