Charge 3 jumping between screens, drained battery and now gets hot but won't charge

My Charge 3 started jumping between screens and vibrating earlier today, then eventually settled down, although not recording my walk correctly. Suddenly it was down to 6% charge (from 100% this morning) and I put it on charge. I just checked and it is very hot but completely dead. I have tried the various steps to reset it but nothing happens. Please help!
