Charge 3 keeps getting unpaired with Phone

My charge 3 keeps getting disconnected with my iPhone XR. I’ve restarted my Fitbit and all my softwares are up to date too. Everytime I open the app to sync, it says that I need to forget my device in the settings and then pair it again to sync. Can’t find a fix.

Hello @Kuhu12

Let’s try what the app is suggesting. Here’s how: open your Bluetooth settings on your phone and find your Charge 3 in the list of connected devices. To the right of your Charge 3 on the list is a circle with the small letter “ i “ in it. Tap that then tap Forget This Device. Now go back to your Fitbit App and attempt to sync by swiping down on the apps page. You should receive a pop up wanting you to pair with your Versa 2. Accept the pop up and sync again to accept the changes.
😃I hope this helps out. Please let me know how it goes.

I have tried exactly that, but it makes me do that every single time I want to sync my Charge 3. I have to keep forgetting and repairing which is very inconvenient

Hello @Kuhu12

I agree that would be very inconvenient for sure. I’m wondering if setting up your device again would help. It certainly wouldn’t hurt. If your interested make sure you have the latest update on your Fitbit App then tap your profile picture, scroll down at tap Charge 3 then scroll down and tap remove Charge 3. Now sign out of your Fitbit App, remove your Charge 3 from your Bluetooth list as you did in my previous post if it’s showing. Place your Charge 3 on its charger. Restart your phone then log back into the Fitbit App, tap your profile picture then scroll down and tap “set up a device”… pick Charge 3 from the list and follow the instructions. Since you’re replacing one device with another of the same model, you’ll be asked to confirm the replacement. You won’t lose any of your data doing this.
😃Let me know how it goes

Hey, so I tried exactly this today, set up my charge 3 all over again, but the same notification popped up. I’m still not able to get to the root of this issue, but maybe it’s because of my XR? Any suggestions? I’ve tried restarting and reinstalling

Hello again @Kuhu12 Look here to see if your iPhone XR is compatible: https://www.fitbit.com/global/us/technology/compatible-devices

One another thought…is the Charge 3 your first and only Fitbit Tracker? If you had another Fitbit before getting your Charge 3 make sure your old Fitbit is unpaired from your Bluetooth to avoid conflicts. Wild guess here but has anyone in your household accidentally connected your Charge 3 to their Bluetooth?. It wouldn’t hurt to check and see because that can certainly cause conflicts as well. (I’ve run into this before with other individuals) Let me know what you find out
