Charge 3 keeps shutting off and going into screens

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

my device says it’s dead and keeps shutting off. the app says it’s fully

charged. my fitbit then goes crazy, going through all the fitbit prompts and activities, shuts off, vibrates, comes back on and flickers.

now it’s stuck with the fitbit icon and “001” under it.

no where on my app says firmware is out of date. im not sure how to manually

reset it.

do fitbits really only have a 1 year expectancy ? i’ve only had it a year and i’m fairly

certain my one before this did all this till.

Hello @Shawna12. Welcome to the community forums.

I'm very sorry for this experience and thank you for following some troubleshooting steps prior to posting. I'd recommend performing a restart to your Charge 3, by following the steps here: How do I restart my Fitbit device?

If that doesn't help, I recommend performing a long restart by following the steps below:

  1. Connect the device to the charging cable.
  2. While the device is plugged into the charging cable, press and hold the button down for 15 seconds.
  3. The device turns on and shows a battery icon. Two vibrations occur: first a short vibration, then a medium vibration.
  4. The device turns off.
  5. The device turns on and shows a progress bar and short vibrations occur. The progress bar completes. Note: A total of 7 short vibrations occur.
  6. Remove the device from the charging cable. The device shuts down.
  7. Important: Plug the device into the charging cable again.

Hope this helps.

as an update, my device is still not working properly after working with support team and following every instruction. i will no longer be purchasing fitbit devices as i find it inconvenient having to buy a new one in less than 2 years, consistently.
