I have a Charge 3 and have now got those black lines everyone talks about. I have been helped by customer support and have been given a percentage off of a new tracker. I just want to know how long the Charge 3 lasted with those black lines? I don't know if I really want to get a new one when mine still works fine and I can still read the display without any problems. I only have 30 days to use my discount though.

Not long l estimate about 1 year since they replaced my yhe charge 3 one in 2020 while under warranty and yesterday my second one stopped working screen went blank can not reboot...called fitbit and they couldnt do anything except refer me to warranty dept who issued me a 35% discount on new one. I have been a fitbit user since 2005 and only started having problems since 2019....my first one lasted 14 years amazing the difference in quality l only wanted a new one for swimming and gave my nonwater proof original to a friend...should have kept itSent via the Samsung Galaxy S8, an AT&T 5G Evolution capable smartphone

THis is the 2nd charge 3 i have had with the same problem. I had it replaced in May 2021 and 7 months later it has gone the same way. I reached out to fitbit who offered me a 35% discount as they don't cover the replacement  - despite the exact same problems and only 7 months old. I don't find this fit for purpose, then it also won't sync which I believe may have something to do with fitbit needing to bring out an update on the app - when I go to playstore it says last updated 15.12.21 but on the fitbit app it shows as last updated 6.12.21. Something is broken, been a fitbit user since 2014 and here are an awful lot of us with the exact same problem with theses charge 3's. They should replace for everyone who has this complaint irrespective of whether it already was replaced.

I too called Fitbit support and we went through all the trouble shooting together and the black lines weren't fixed. Very helpful and I got 35% off a new unit. I am able to still see everything on my watch just now with black lines. So that is why I was asking what is the expected life span on these types of trackers.

My Charge 3 died today.  I've had it for about 3 years and I always took care of it.   I took it off for swimming and showers etc...

Yesterday I lost the heart rate monitor.  I tried all the reboots and fixes. Still nothing.  This morning the battery showed dead this morning even though it was at 53% last night.  Now it's dead and won't charge.  I figured these devices have "planned obsolescence".  At $150 Cdn I feel ripped off.

So sorry. Mine still operates as normal with the exception of the black lines going through the screen. I was given 35% off a new one and did use it and bought a Luxe, which I have been impressed with.
