Charge 3 lines on the screen and shortcuts only showing Pilates as an option

I am on my third charge 3 since September. Within 20 minutes of setting up my new one this morning all the exercise shortcuts have again reverted to pilates, and unless I reboot constantly the device won’t sync. Have come to the conclusion that it is not fit for purpose. Having spent that much money on a tracker I should not have to reboot contantly in order to use it

Hello @Franciewood. I am sorry to hear that you are going through this situation. I appreciate your feedback for the Fitbit Charge 3 and your efforts in troubleshooting your tracker.

Please note that our main purpose is to avoid negative experiences to our customers, we're always willing to help and provide troubleshooting steps. Then, if the tracker is deemed defective we review eligibility using the one year warranty option.

Additionally, our products are indeed designed and made to last (this goes for each product component) however, there is not an infallible way to ensure that no issues will be present in the long run. Because of this, our Warranty Policy is set into providing as much coverage as we can.

In regards to the lines on the screen, I'd recommend restarting your Charge 3 by following these steps

About the Pilates shortcut, I fixed mine by going into the exercise shortcuts and deleting all of the ones listed (my Charge 3 was showing Pilates, Pilates, Pilates but my app listed run, treadmill, bike etc). Then, I re -added the ones I wanted and synced my phone again.

If that doesn't work, please be so kind to set up your Charge 3 as a replacement device by following these instructions:

  1. From the Fitbit app dashboard, tap or click the Account icon
  2. Tap Set Up a Device.
  3. Choose your device and follow the on-screen instructions to continue.

If you're having syncing difficulties, please follow the troubleshooting steps provided in the help article: Why won't my Fitbit device sync?. You can also try:

- Open Settings app on phone
- Scroll down, tap Fitbit -> Toggle Location to 'Always'
- Ensure toggles next to Bluetooth and Background App Refresh are turned ON

Give this a go, I'll be around if you need further help.

These are the steps I am having to repeat on an almost daily basis, in order to be able to use my Charge 3. This is why I’m so frustrated!
