Ever since I did the firmware update the screen has been getting dimmer and dimmer . now it's unusable. What is happening? Lots of people have the same issue.

Actually I just managed (with difficulty because it was so dim) to get to the settings. It seems it had switched to 'dim' even though I had never chosen 'dim' I've set it at 'normal' - its' not as bright at it was, but it is at least usable now
