Charge 3 no longer holds a charge

I just want to add to the complaints about this. I purchased it July 2019. Last Thursday it went black during a workout. I recharged it and then it happened again today (battery was at 76% before I started). It was black when I was done and I thought it was completely dead. I put in on the charger and it came back to life and recharged to 100% (although the screen did some crazy stuff when I tested it.) But now, 4 hours later, it again indicates the battery is dead. And now the screen has gone black.

This is the second Charge that has died in 1 1 /2 years. Like a lot of others have said, I think it is time to ditch fitbit.

@SunsetRunner Welcome to the Community.

Sorry to hear that your Charge 3 isn't holding a charge. Try cleaning the contacts using cotton swab with rubbing alcohol, then charge it by plugging it for a couple of hours directly to your computer's USB port (try different ports) or use an UL-certified USB adapter. You can follow these instructions to help improve the battery life.

Let me know how it goes.

I did as instructed and was told it was recharged to 100%. A half hour later it is dead. When I touched the side button, nothing happened. I hooked it back up to the charger and then looked at the app and it said it had a charge of 26%, then 33% and dropping rapidly.

So, yeah, it’s not working at all anymore.
