Hi all!
My Charge 3 will not charge. I have tried different charging outlets (laptop/plug sockets etc). I have also tried a reset but rather than showing the smiley screen it just does one long continuous vibrate while you’re holding the button. I’ve uninstalled the device and reinstalled it. The screen just remains black.
This is my second Charge 3. It was a replacement for a faulty screen with my first one. My husband has a Charge 2 and has never had a single problem!

I'm having the exact same problem. The Fitbit app did an update a couple of days ago (on Sunday) and that is when I started having problems with my Charge 3. First it lost 3 hours of time during the night and then I couldn't get it to sync. The next morning the display screen was black, I tried to charge it but that didn't work either, however it would still vibrate if I held the button for the 8 seconds. This morning there was no vibration, so I tried to charge it again, after a couple of minutes I got a smiley face so I tried again to sync but to no avail. Now the screen is blank again and if I try to go thru the factory reset, all I get is the long vibration. It will not do anything else. I also had my original Charge 3 replaced in January of this year, I would have thought (hoped) that the new one would have lasted longer than 5 months. Very disappointed in Fitbit and the Charge 3 at this point. I believe it has something to do with the update that just occurred as that is when all of the trouble started (and I know with the first Charge 3 that I had, that was when my Fitbit "died" then too - after an update to the app but I also know that Fitbit will deny that as they did when I had the first one replaced).
