Charge 3 not getting text messages from iPhone

Since upgrading to Charge 3 I no longer get text messages from my I phone to the Charge 3

I had to take the charge 3 device off the app and then reset it. That worked but the charge 3 is very finicky - I’m not a techno expert just a normal buyer ( although somewhat frustrated at times).

I did these steps, plus a hard restart, unload the app and uploaded again, deleted the charge 3 and reloaded, I still do not get texts, I get everything else, NO TEXTS!

I have a Fitbit Charge 3 and an IPhone 8.
Make sure your notifications on the actual Fitbit is on.
Go to settings on your IPhone if you have one to notifications, allow notifications, and alert Notification Center only is quicker on.
Go to the Fitbit app on your phone look at notifications make sure text, emails and calendars are on.
Choose any other app on that you want to be notified.
Try to sync your Fitbit after you do all of the changing.

Hi! I’ve tried all the reset options but since the recent update I can receive snapchat, WhatsApp messages etc but not text messages. I’ve tried every option. Is this actually a problem with new update?

Thank you. I spoke to Fitbit yesterday and I was told to have patients. As far as I’m concerned the watch is defective. They wouldn’t return it or anything. I’m done with Fitbit. I’ll buy an Apple Watch. All they said was have patients we’ll have to come out with an update. I asked how long that may take and they had no answer.

I am sorry I’m not a tech guru I am an ordinary frustrated Charge 3 customer that happened to fix my phones by pure luck!

That’s ok but if it is less than a year old you can ask for a refund under The Sale of Goods Act as the product is ‘ not fit for the purpose it was bought’ especially if that was a reason you bought it

I'm completely with you!  My wife and I have ben loyal customers since 2014 and got other family members to buy Fitbits.  Customer service will not help and my frustration may take me to an Apple watch. Our Charge 3s are only a few months old.

I have “forgotten this device”, deleted the app, installed new device,
turned off phone, 8 second reset on side of fitbit while plugged into
charger, 15 second reset while plugged into charger, turned off
notifications, turned back on, changed every notification setting...and all
of the above in different combinations.

Very frustrating.

I have had online chats, emails, and called the company and they basically told me it's not their issue.  I asked for 2 replacements for my wife and I that are not yet corrupted by the issue and the 3 supervisors I spoke to basically blew me off.  We've had these Charge 3s for only a few months. Been a dedicated customer since 2014 and went through 3 generations of Fitbits.  May switch to apple.

Very - Fitbit seem to be washing their hands of the problem.

As I have said I’m an ordinary customer- not a tech guru ( unfortunately). My charge 3 stopped sending messages to my app and I had to reset it again. Very frustrating - I did not have any of these kinds of problem with charge 2!

I'm sorry Jenswinny. I feel your pain. When this first happened weeks ago
my wife and I both called. It doesn't seem like ANYONE that I have spoken
with are at all concerned about this getting fixed. They don't know how
long it will take and they don't have a backup plan. Grrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!

My menu looks like this on notifications but it still is not working for me to get text messages. I’ve deleted the device on Bluetooth also.
