Charge 3 not getting text messages from iPhone

Since upgrading to Charge 3 I no longer get text messages from my I phone to the Charge 3

So is your phone connected to your Fitbit via Bluetooth ok? 

have you gone into the settings on your actual watch? Go into about and reboot? 

have you hard reset your iPhone (not factory reset)

then gone into settings notifications Fitbit app on your phone and set preview always for messages

failing this I don’t really know what to suggest. I also reset my watch on the charging unit by holding the left side button down until I got a flatline showing and then a smile

i did all of the above about 10 times combined and it eventually worked for the text messages. I also made sure I had the get nighttime messages on on the watch itself but not sure if this made any real difference

I will do everything you’ve suggested again. It’s really infuriating. Especially when I had no issues with the old model. Reminiscent of the rubbish that was the Flex lol

I uninstalled the app. Hard reset my iPhone. Installed the app. Went into settings on the app, the FitBit and the settings on my phone. Allowed all messages permanently and nothing. What am I doing wrong?.

Maybe a silly question but gave you got the notifications symbol lit on your watch? Press and hold left side button and you’ll seen screen wake and notifications click notifications on

Hello can you help with this issue or give me the contact details of someone who can? I’ve done absolutely everything that’s suggested in this thread and not a thing has worked. I can see me returning it as it’s not fulfilling what it should. I’m really frustrated and fed up. Never had any of these issues with the charge 2.

Update your Iphone. Also if your phone is more that 30 feet away from the Fitbit you will not get
messages.

I called the Fitbit phone number and they were very helpful.

So after 6 months of no notifications. I reinstalled my charge 2 that was working perfectly. Same issues. I believe it was the iPhone update. So recently after the last update my charge 3 now receives notifications.

I have tried everything that everyone has offered and nothing works.  I am very disappointed in this product after hearing so many people love their Versas and Charge 2.  I believe at this point, I am going to sell it and purchase an Apple Watch.  I wish I had done this originally.  i LOVED this watch, but I spent the money and need it to work longer than 12 months.

I've spent 3 days on this forum trying to find a solution to this problem for my new Charge 3. I've tried 1) forgetting the device, and re-syncing per mod instructions 2) I've tried forgetting the device, restarting the phone then syncing, 3) I've tried re-setting the Fitbit, 4) I've checked all of the notification settings for the fitbit and my messages app and everything is correct but nothing has worked. As many other's have mentioned, I can get call notifications no problem, every single time, but never ever texts. The only thing I haven't tried is completely wiping the device and all of my data and starting from scratch. Any help from Fitbit would be greatly appreciated.

I recently purchased an iphone 11. on my iphone 6 plus my charge 3 was receiving notifications just fine.

On my iphone 11 the charge 3 is receiving all notifications EXCEPT text messages. I've already done what has been suggested here. I've also plugged in the fitbit to my computer and held the button in until it brought the smily face up....

I completed the sequence of instructions listed but it’s still not working for me.

If anyone is still not receiving texts notifications I tried everything and nothing worked.    

EXCEPT for when I changed the following:   Go to your iPhone settings - notifications - messages.   Then scroll down under options - show previews and change it to “when unlocked”.     

you should now be able to receive texts on your Fitbit, this is what finally fixed it for me
