Fixed mine.  It was my mistake.  Notifications weren’t turned on for the lock screen.  I turned that on and now it’s working.

I have a IPhone 8 here is what I did:
Go to settings on your phone, notifications, Fitbit and make sure notification is clicked only not lock screen or banner.
Go to the Fitbit and make sure notifications is only for text, emails....
I would send a picture of my settings but having had much luck with this app.

Less than 4 weeks later and my Fitbit Charge 3 isn't receiving texts once again.  Come on FitBit - DO BETTER!! My phone bluetooth won't can't even find my Charge 3 now with it sitting right next to it so the "fix" that worked last time won't work now.  This piece of crap is going back to Target once again!

My Fitbit charge 3 does not get notifications, my phone's Bluetooth if connected i was told to tap notifications and I would get a message telling me to pair the Fitbit to the phone. That message never comes up, when I first got the Fitbit I did get text and email, now when a good to notifications it tells me I'm all caught up. Any help would be appreciated.

I have an IPhone, go to settings on your phone, make sure notifications is on and Notification Center box is clicked only not banner or lock screen.
Check the Fitbit and make sure the text, email is on.
When I open my text on my phone first before looking at the Fitbit then it will say
You ‘re all caught up.
Hope this helps.

Hello,
I have an IPhone 8 but this might still help you.
IPhone, settings,Fitbit, Notifications and allow notifications on sound on and badge on.
Go to Fitbit App:
Account, Notifications, make sure Call,
Text and calendar events are on
App notifications open any app you want notifications from.
Go to Fitbit and swipe over until you get to settings, make sure notifications is on just tap it on or off.
That is all I can say good luck I know how frustrating this can get.
