This is a new issue - it was holding a charge perfectly until yesterday morning - typically remaining charged for 5 days or more. I recharged yesterday morning and the battery was almost dead before bed. I recharged thinking maybe it really wasn't fully recharged in the morning. The device said around 90% when I put it back on last night. I woke up to it having an exclamation point and the app saying the charge was down to 6%. I plugged back in and charged back to 99%. Within less than 3 hrs it back to under 80%. Was there some type update that could be causing this that happened in the past few days? It seems really odd that the length of time it holds a charge would change so drastically overnight! Not happy! It seems that every fitbit product needs to be replaced within weeks after the warranty expires...
Additional info. I just did a turn off then back on. Hold button for 8 sec while plugged in, then see a smiley. Interesting - the charger showed 96% when I turned it off and went down to 82% when it went back on. Very odd...

Mine worled fine too. Then started vibrating this evening, wouldnt stop (Had been charged fully last night). Battery said low when charger connected (this stopped vibration). Restarted charge 3, charged it to 90 odd %, an hour later exclamation mark, battery at 3%. Has there been a recent ipdate, as its weird that people having same issue?

Mine is still going a bit crazy - I kept it charging after it went back to 84%, it got to the 100% showing of a smiley. I restarted again and it's back to 84%. Not sure if it's not actually charging correctly or if it's draining. I've charged multiple ways. The last is via USP to my Dell laptop. Annoyed at this point. Not the economic environment where I want to but a new one...

Just read a similar story of guy whose battery died not long out off warranty. Fitbit advised yeah your battery is dead, have 25% off new device lol. Bit weird so many people having same issues...

Did factory reset. Even worse. Charge and app communicate, the 4 digit code appears, when i type into app it says not working lol. Tried this numerous times, each time new code generated. Uninstalled app, restarted phone. Looks like my tracker is kapoot

Your post describes my exact experience. Worked perfectly until 5/21 and held a charge. Suddenly died out of nowhere, started vibrating every few seconds, now unable to hold a charge at all. Fitbit is less than a year old, WTF?

Exactly that. Supposedly fitbit had some sort of server issue overnight causing sync issues, but as mine wont even switch on anymore looks like its curtains. Theres 1 year warranty so you should be fine :), whether you go down fitbit route again is another question however

Mine just did the same thing. I updated to iOS 13.5 yesterday. But I was at 82% this morning. I charged it to 100%. I took the dog out, came back in and I was at 7%. Now it's charging again and 87%. I guess we will see how this goes. I never had any issues with my Charge 2. Several with Charge 3.
Update. I recharged again and was at 100%. I'm down to 32% and had to restart. This is nuts.
Another Update: I did a hard shut down of the device. It seems to have worked as I have not had any more charging issues.

Not sure it's going to hold a charge, but I noticed that the display kept turning on. I finally figured out to to change the setting (it's done from the Fitbit itself, not the app) so I'm hoping that will help!

My Charge3 has just started having the same issue. Seems to lose charge within a day, which prior to these last few days it lasted at least 4 or 5 days
