You must see sleep stages in order to see your sleep score information. Can you please provide me with a screenshot of your sleep information?.

If you are not receiving sleep stages, I recommend considering the following:

  • If you slept in a position that prevented your device from getting a consistent heart-rate reading or wore it too loosely. For best results, wear your device higher on your wrist (about 2-3 finger widths above your wrist bone). The band should feel secure but not too tight.
  • If you used the Begin Sleep Now option in the Fitbit app (instead of simply wearing your device to bed). For more information on automatic sleep tracking, see How do I track my sleep?
  • If you slept for less than 3 hours.
  • If your device’s battery is critically low.

I hope to hear from you soon. 🙂

Curious - I’m getting what appears to be an accurate graph of my heart rate when I sleep, but it’s stopped generating sleep scores. I tried it right on my wrist as well as loose. Any other ideas?  It worked a couple of times but not any more.

Sometimes my FitBit Charge 3 would miss my first four or five hours of sleep.  I then might get up for a minute and go back to sleep.  It would track the last sleep period but not the first.   To fix this, I told the FitBit when I was going to sleep.  Now I am given to understand, that if I do that, it will not give me a sleep score.

Why not?   It should simply say something to the effect of "you started your sleep at x time and stopped it at y time (8 hours).  You actually slept for six and one  half hours, etc.  Seems that this would be easy to do.

The sleep score no longer appears on my charge 3, none of the problems listed apply. It has been 4 days and I am unable to restore the feature. Any solutions out there?

Thanks!

It would be great if you could tell the Fitbit when you start to sleep AND also get your sleep score.  The results might say something like "Start to End, you slept 8 hours, however per your sleep score, you got only 6 hours of sleep"

My problem is that about 25% of the time, I will go to sleep (lights out) and perhaps wake up three hours later to go to the bathroom and then go back to bed/sleep.  The Fitbit ignores that first three hours of sleep and only tracks the latter portion when I return to bed.  The above solution would at least let me add in the known but not monitored sleep to the monitored sleep.
