My Fitbit stopped notifying me of my texts. It still vibrates for my other set notifications. No changes had been made on my settings. I have tried restarting phone and Fitbit, checked all settings but still unable to get text messages. Any other suggestions?

I have the exact same issue. It started around Saturday the 2nd. I have reset every setting and nothing has worked. I had some luck when I reset my tracker as a new device but, it only worked for 1 message. I am using a galaxy 10.

I'm in the same boat as you. I received my Charge 3 for Christmas a couple weeks back.
The Notifications worked during the first week, then they stopped working (with no changes made by me).
I have already tried restarting my phone and restarting the Fitbit... notifications are still not working.
Fitbit device: Charge 3
Phone: Samsung Galaxy S8

Same issue here. Galaxy s10. Only text notification issues. Recieved charge 3 as a gift (Alta previously), worked first week then stopped. Checked settings, uninstalled/reinstalled. Good to know it's on their end, hopefully gets fixed soon. I rely on this feature while at work. Thanks for this thread.

Everyone in this forum has heard " Fitbit is aware of the problem & looking to fix it " If you pay attention to this forum and thread you will see a growing number of people expressing their disappointment and frustration of this long standing issue and stating that they will leave Fitbit for a smart watch that you can actually receive text messages on

Has everyone made sure all-day sync is enabled? If it's having trouble connecting, try the following:

I've gone from an S8 (worked perfect) to an S10+ and having the same issue. My husband's Charge 3 is working with his S10+ but mine is not. We have checked our settings are exactly the same and I've gone through every troubleshooting step. I have managed to get it to register 2 messages after resetting my phone on one occassion and resetting both devices and reinstalling the app but after that first message comes through it stops working. I'd love to know the ETA on the fix as this is just painful.

All day sync is on. I have uninstalled/reinstalled the app. I have unpaired/repaired the device. I've even rest the charge 3. Ive checked all my settings, several times. Im only having this problem with text messages. I still recieve phone calls and notifications from social media. Its frustrating to have spent so much money on something and it not work correctly. Im trying to be patient for a fix but for how long are we to wait?

I was just informed by a Fitbit Moderator that a Fitbit is Not Compatable with all phones, ie there are models that a Fitbit may or not work with. They have a list of compatable devices that a Fitbit will work with. It appears to me that they won't have a fix for a Fitbit working with all Android 9 phones. It seems to be reasonable to get another device that actually works.

I also have a galaxy s10. Plus, I'll add it worked for the first week I had it then suddenly stopped.
