I select run from the exercise menu on the wearable (charge 3) auto pause is turned off by the way. And just now I ran and there are 2 hills I decided to walk up to conserve energy for overall pace. (Which helped shave 3 seconds per mile) my nike run app showed 3.24 miles at 8:45 pace. When I checked fitbit it showed an 11 minute pace and only 2.7 miles. Tho it tracked for full workout time of 30 minutes matching nike run app. Why did the charge 3 not count my distance walked and encorporate the entire workout and average pace and only the run? Is this working as intended and how can I prevent this for future runs, since I want m1y overall pace and not1 just the distance ran. Since there is a big difference between 11 min per mile and 8:48... thank you for t1he help!

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @Verontas.
I regret to hear that your Fitbit Charge 3 didn't register your distance accurately. Thank you for the information provided.
For non GPS activities, Fitbit devices use the formula below to calculate distance:
Steps x Stride Length = Distance Traveled (Your stride length is determined by your height and sex).
Since the stride length between a run and a walk is different, if the exercises get mixed together, there might be discrepancies in the results. For more information about how your Charge 3 calculates your daily activities, please visit this article.
We recommend performing only the activity selected from the exercise menu. If you will perform a different exercise, you can stop the current one and start a new exercise.
Please let us know if you have any question.
