Charge 3 not recording sleep stages

This is an intermittent problem that only happens occasionally. The ftbit is in the correct position and the correct tightness.

Hi @Bitfit_Janet, it's great to see you in our Fitbit Community. Regarding the sleep stages tracking issue that your Charge 3 has experienced, I appreciate the time spent trying to get it resolved before contacting our forums.

 

I'd like you to restart your Charge 3 as described in this help article. After this, check out this help page, which explains how your Fitbit device tracks your sleep stages.

 

Finally, monitor your tracker and see if it tracks sleep stages properly.

I have done the simple Reboot several times. When I follow the next instructions the tracker doesn't turn on after 8 seconds so I don't get the smile icon.

'press and hold the button on your tracker for 8 seconds. Release the button. When you see a smile icon and the tracker vibrates, the tracker restarted'

 

You will see that I have posted 4 problems today (walk, sleep, stairs, weight). Where you have replied you have asked me to reboot and restart the device. However, I couldn't complete the instructions as when I pressed the button and the screen went blank it didn't turn on again.
