Charge 3 not showing active minutes for Bike exercise

Charge 3. Why does bike/ exercise bike not record as active minutes? It shows the activity on the daily exercise tab, but not under active minutes. Frustrating as I have set a daily active minutes goal and it doesn't count towards it.  Would be great if it could be rectified.

Thank you for the information and I'm very sorry for the experience. Can you please confirm if it's the only time it has happened? In the meantime, I recommend trying to perform a restart to your Charge 3, by following the steps here: How do I restart my Fitbit device?

 

Also, if you're using the exercise App on your Charge 3 to track your Bike exercise, I recommend trying to track it, using the connected GPS feature on your Charge 3 and let me know the outcome. How do I use GPS on my Fitbit device?

Hi, each time I have used the bike it doesn't work. I have been tracking the exercise using the fitbit, not the app. It does look for GPS, but as it's an exercise bike I'm not going anywhere. I will have a look at resetting, but am cautious of that as the fitbit I have now is a replacement for the new one I received for Christmas, which after just a couple of days had me needing to reset it time after time as it was not registering my heartbeat.

I have seen in the forum that other fitbit devices that are not the Charge 3 have asked the same questions as to why bike use does not appear in active minutes.

This is still an issue. Makes no difference if I have GPS on or not. Looking at other people's comments this is an issue on numerousdifferent devices. Please fix!

Hi Fitbit land/ @WilsonFitbit, is there any update to when active minutes will be recorded for use of bike or exercise bike? I first raised this query in April and it's still not been resolved which is very frustrating and demotivating. When raised in April I could see other comments over multiple different Fitbit devices saying the same thing so it must be a common flaw across the board?!🙁 - Please can you fix this!
