When I switched from my charge 2 to my charge 3, I realized that my daily active minutes were not registering and in fact I was only receiving very few active minutes in the middle of the night where I was sleeping and my log showed this so it was a discrepancy. I had made a post about this over a month ago and I tried to follow all of the troubleshooting steps and finally contacted Fitbit where they sent me a replacement head for my charge 3 due to it not recording active minutes during the day. Yesterday for example starting before 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. I was working nonstop and that is also coinciding with my heart rate zone being in fat burning mode for those hours and it did not register as active minutes. I also have realized before with their new replacement head that I still was not receiving active minutes except for one time when I was working around home for 3 hours Non-Stop and it registered 11 minutes. Is anybody else having these issues? I'm going to contact Fitbit again about this because the first time around I realized that there were many people in the forums here having the same issue and I am now officially certain the charge 3 has a defect in detection of active minutes not registering where my charge 2 was accurately displaying them! Thanks, Kristina

Hello there @Ko2bme101, thanks for stopping by and for the details provided about your Charge 3 not recognizing your active minutes.
Please note that our main purpose is to avoid negative experiences to our customers, we're always willing to help and provide troubleshooting steps. 😉
Thanks for letting me know you were working nonstop, however, please note that you need to be in constant movement and doing an intense activity to earn active minutes. For more information check the help article: What are active minutes?
If the same activity gives you active minutes one day and fewer active minutes the next day, remember that the intensity of exercise is key. Often what seems like the exact same amount of effort over the same distance in fact differs slightly enough to change your active minutes total.
Was my post helpful? Give it a thumbs up to show your appreciation! Of course, if this was the answer you were looking for, don't forget to make it the Best Answer! Als...

I purchase a Charge 3 and activated it last week as a replacement for my charge 2. I just noticed today that none of my active minutes are recording on the Charge 3. My activity level is basically the same pattern from week to week so I know what the active time ranges should be after tracking on my Fitbits for 5 years.
I just finished working in my yard for more than 2.5 hours and there is no active time showing. For that level of continuous activity in the past, I would have expected at least 80-100 minutes in not more. My calorie count shows substantial activity at more than 2100 and my steps are over 9900 in approximately 3 hours. Puzzled???

I understand everything you provided. I'll be talking to a person while sitting down and my Fitbit 3 will notify me of my 250 hour step goal...I'm not moving. I've received 1 replacement piece and the same issues are occurring, no active minutes, giving me steps when I'm not moving and it's annoying. I basically paid to have a sleep monitor and woman's health prediction watch...I don't have time to keep dealing with this. I've rebooted this device often and also awoke with a black screen this morning where I did a manual reboot from the wall with the original charging parts. It showed under 3 hours of sleep logged too. Frustrated with the charge 3. I wish my 2 didn't crash! The upgrade is a bunk defective watch for the intended features.

My Inspire 2 does not register any active minutes ever. I also wear a smart watch which shows my heart rate reaches 160 at times and is sustained for 15-20 minutes at a time but it never registers on the Inspire. Why is that?
