Charge 3 not tracking distance during Bike exercise

The Charge is logging less than one mile while I can calculate almost 5.5 miles when mapping my route on Google Maps. I understand it it being off, but that isn't even in the ball park. Can anything be done, or should I use an app on my phone instead?

When was the first time you experienced this situation and how many times since then? In the meantime I receive your answers, please restart your Fitbit following the steps that are specified on: How do I restart my Fitbit device? and let me know if the issue persists.

I have a Samsung Galaxy 6. I ended up syncing Strava with the Fitbit app through my phone and the accuracy is much better. I just have to run the Strava app while I'm recording a bike ride. = \   But hey, it works.
