I initially had the same problem. I did two things wrong, first I didn't
put a wakeup time, which even if you sleep past it is necessary, second , I
was saving my sleep in the log entry. I realized that I didn't need to do
that if I waited for my app to sync with my tracker. Now it's very
accurate. Even knows how many times I get up for the washroom🙄

I don't know how they can charge so much for these when they don't work

Best Answer
Mine usually works, I'm just charging it now to see if a full charge was
needed.

Make sure when you go into the app on your phone you click on the sleep icon, then the gear/setting button, then have 'Receive Sleep Insights' turned on. Otherwise double check you have bluetooth enabled

Also take note ; automatic sleep tracking on the charge 3 only starts after you've been lying still for an hour. I found that the best way to get somewhat accurate reading on my sleep patron was to start and end my sleep manually in the app and then the next morning, through trial and error, set the correct begin- and end-tie for my sleep period to see the different stages of sleep.

I slept all night and it didn't do anything. I will never buy another one of these and I will tell everyone I know not to buy them to until it tracks my sleep like the charge HR did.

My Fitbit 3 says sleep not tracked? How do I fix this

Best Answer

My charge 3 doesn't seem to start my sleep cycle until 3 - 5 hours after I think I fall asleep. Can you elaborate a little more about setting sleep manually? I have read the manual but it's not clicking in my mind.

Hello @Gerlof101@Lonewolf269@Krabr@caitlindurbin@sehertz and @idowu12, have a warm welcome to the Fitbit Community. It's nice to see you too @CHRISARL, I hope you're doing well. Smiley Happy

I appreciate your participation in the Forums and for sharing your experience with us. Tell me, have you tried to restart your Charge 3 lately? Please note that as mentioned by @Gerlof101, your Fitbit device starts recording your sleep after it hasn't detected movement for 1 hour. Additionally to restart your device, please try to use it on your other wrist and make sure you're getting a constant heart rate reading before going to bed.

I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and let us know the outcome.

I have tried all the suggestions and it still reads " sleep not tracked"  There must be a repair or fix.  When your earlier versions were able to manage sleep patterns and did them so well.  By the number of frustrated consumers,, it does not look good for your company.Woman Sad

Tell me about it, they should be able to fix this with an update we shouldn't have to spend half our life trying to restart the stupid thing. If the old charge HR could track your sleep wonderfully why can't this one, and do it better. What is wrong with this company.

I had the issue once.
I plugged it to the chargedand restarted the fitbit.
It works perfect since that.

Well this morning, it track my sleep, it took a while for it to show that on the app. Then 2 hours later I went to sync my device again and the app could not find my device was paired in Bluetooth. So now I don't know what to do because the app can't find my device. This thing is a pain in the butt

Best Answer
Turn off your Bluetooth and restart it.

I did that, I also clear the cache from the app and Bluetooth. Still didn't work. I had to totally restart my wristband delete it from the app and go for the whole setup system again to get it to work. This is too much work for something that's supposed to be better than the HR. And I can't go back to my HR because it's screwed up now. I will never buy another one of these.

That's too bad, know for me it's been a learning curve. I don't have the
fastest network either, but, for the most part so I like it .
