Bought my Fitbit Charge 3 on Saturday. Tracked my sleep first night, hasn’t since for last 3 nights. Have to keep putting it on charger and restarting. Few hours later it appears on watch and phone. Can’t keep doing this! Any ideas?

Same here. As much as I loved Fitbit when it first came out, I am extremely disappointed. When I replace it, I'll be buying a different brand.

This worked for me and has worked ever since (about 3 months now). Thank you.

Good Day Fitbit Team, I tried all these 3 steps and none worked for me on my Fitbit Charge 3. My Fitbit has stopped tracking my sleep for about a week now and it's frustrating because this is one of the features I got the device for. Any additional solves? I didn't track my sleep for the night or nap. I've updated my app, I've reset the device, I tracked manually for a few days and don't want to keep having to do that. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

i can only say what worked for me was to find the right 'tighntess' for my
C3 - if i have it in hole no 6 on the wristband it tracks my sleep - if i
put it in hole number 5 or number 7 it wont. and hole no 6 for me (
individually ofcourse as our wrists are different sizes ) feels loose to
walk around with, but it gives me sleepscore.

Alta HR which i had to switch to for a while here because my wristband
broke, doesnt have the same sensitivity i can wear it comfortable tight and
gives me tracking every time.

I have had two replacements since my original purchase just over one year ago. And those did not come easy. The first replacement got a grey screen with lines, and this third one is garbage.  I have to reboot the device itself every other day to get it to track anything.  I am not even going to bother support again, their produce and their support are nothing like they used to be. I have zero confidence in this product and will never purchase another. They could replace this every week and it still would not work. Not to mention how infuriating support can be to deal with.  So Fitbit, we have been friends for so many years, but you are a terrible friend and it's over for me.

You might as well not wear the fit bit to sleep if you have to track your sleep manually.  Call Fitbit and have them reboot your program.

Thank you so much! I tried testing this and it worked during my nap although I had to put it on the 3rd hole which is tight vs. the 4th and 5th I've had it on. Weird since it wasn't an issue before but I'll test this out for a few days before contacting Fitbit.

Hi gang, so the Fitbit tracks my sleep but the only way to get it to appear on my watch or app is to reset and reboot the Fitbit every day. Is there a solve for this? Or does Fitbit send out software updates ever to avoid issues like this? Same for workouts. It doesn't log my workouts at first but after I reboot they will appear in my wrist and app. It's pretty frustrating. Thank you, Amanda

Thank you for your response! Did you have to go exchange in store? I know
now with covid19 that's not an option. I'll send them a note too.
Appreciated it!

I tried steps 1-4 over and over. 3 weeks and no tracking of my sleep. It is the biggest reason I wanted one of these and it doesn't work. No fixes, no updates, no work done from FitBit. Nothing new, just emails to tell me to manually enter my sleep times and it's fixed. Well, nope. It isn't fixed in the slightest bit. As a matter of fact, it is getting worse.

I received my fitbit Charge 3 a few weeks ago but now it will not track my sleep, oximetry, nor will it sync with my phone. I have uninstalled the app 4 times. I reset the fitbit and received the smiley face and all of this to no avail. Help me Obi Wan. Your my only hope.

Sorry. The best advice is to return it and get a Charge 2. The 3 has never worked. And even if you do get it to work, it's only a matter of time when it quits working again. I loved my Charge 2, but the charge 3 has been a complete disappointment and has turned me off of fitbit.

That's great. I wish mine would start working. It hasn't synced up in over a month. Despite doing everything the fitbit people have suggested. I just wish they would give me a Charge 2 or anything but this piece of crap.

Hey guys, so I think I have a fix that worked for me or seems to be working
for a few days with my Charge 3 syncing. Maybe it will help.

They had me completely disconnect my Fitbit from the device under devices
(in this case my Samsung phone and iPad) and add it again, I had to make
sure everything was updated like the app, and I reboot the Fitbit itself
again as well.

Then I had to make sure that no other Bluetooth device was connected to my
phone or iPad so I turned everything off and it made sure the Fitbit was
the first thing I turned back on. After that it seemed to start syncing and
working again. So far, 4 days in and it's recording my sleep, workouts, and
steps.

Let me know if this helps at all!

Not to say it didnt work for you, but this makes no sense at all
technically what they asked you to do - sounds like fitbit have no clue and
just sends users into random journeys of "try this try that".

Its the OS that handles those things so unless fitbit found an error in
Android or IOS then that is just stupid to ask any users to do honestly
