Bought my Fitbit Charge 3 on Saturday. Tracked my sleep first night, hasn’t since for last 3 nights. Have to keep putting it on charger and restarting. Few hours later it appears on watch and phone. Can’t keep doing this! Any ideas?

I have been complaing alot about C3 and its sleep tracking capeabillities as its practically havent worked at all - vast majority of sleeps have been without score.

But i now had 2-3 days here where it gets a score every time - who knows maybe ive just been lucky - but one change i did add was that i tried the different "dont wear it too tight or too loose' advice and have had it way more loose than i felt comfortable with and who knows maybe its that.

What Fitbit could do - if there existed any people in Fitbit anymore as support seems non exisitant was to provide some images etc, but heres how loose i wear it where its been giving consistant sleep score through 2-3 nights - way more loose than my Alta HR ( and feels abit uncomfortable loose during the day ) :

@AlejandraFitbit i tried all those things and it doesn’t make a difference. I don’t think I should have to track my sleep manually. I purchased this for that reason amongst others. When is Fitbit looking at issuing an update to the software/firmware?

Agree 100% with frustration of no sleep stage tracking. Ridiculous

Good luck. The questions you ask have been asked many times over the last
year or so. I got a Versa 2 and like it. It does a better job on sleep.

How did you get them to replace it

Called them up and explained the issue.  After trouble shooting, over the phone, they felt it was defective and sent me a new one.

I havent lost one tracking since i loosened the band as on my photo  - from a week of absolute terror where it more or less never registered sleep, i have not had any problems with it and get sleep score every night except once where i actually had tightened it.

So i would say i think the advice of loosening it is actually a good advice for my part, it sounded like abit of an excuse, and it is abit odd it has to be so loose but it seem to work for me.

Thanks. I’ll try that & see what happens. I’ve tried all other suggestions to no avail

last night i did get no score - as long as i have it tied into the 6th hole it seems to register, i tightened it to 5fth hole and then no sleep score. so for me it seems 6th hole is really really importnant

"What Fitbit could do - if there existed any people in Fitbit anymore as support seems non exisitant"

I am convinced that Fitbit support have been gagged by the lawyers and they aren't allowed to may any comittal statements on the Forum. Maybe they are running scared of their reputation now that they are in bed with Google. I'm just waiting for the day Google wake up and find out what a crock they've got involved with.

This whole fiasco proves that FitBit (and now Google) are simply full of sh*t.

I read recently that Fitbit was being bought out by one of Google's
companies, maybe they will have better luck in solving this problem.

I have had charge3 for 15 months now. First smart watch I have ever had. On the whole mildly disappointed. Especially sleep tracking. I am either the worst most restless sleeper in the world ever, or it just doesn't work. I average about 2 hours sleep a day according to sync. I don't believe I could live on 2 hrs per day. Have tried dominant and non dominant hand and it makes no difference. I dont have the time or inclination to start manually registering this stuff. I want it to just work.

Yep it is very frustrating. It’s hard to understand why they can’t fix this since it’s major selling point. Last I had 2 days tracked successfully. Then nothing. Same wrist. Same bed. Same everything except results. VERY FRUSTRATING

Yea it works sporadically. And it doesn’t make a difference if it’s very loose or somewhat loose. I’ve tried everything. I don’t wear it anymore to bed. I track sleep using the sleep app with my phone just next to me. I’ll probably wait a bit then just buy a different brand. My issue is that Fitbit is ignoring the posts. Radio silence. If they at least check in to let us know what if anything they are doing. I’m assuming it’s a dead product probably to be replaced at some point.

I never got a response on the forum, I had to send a message to them directly. After several attempts to fix the problem and keeping in contact with them, they replaced my Fitbit. It took 2 and a half weeks but I now have a new one. We will see how this one works.
