since updating my charge 3 this morning my hourly steps although counted every hour are not giving an overall hourly count for the day. At this point I have 2 hours out of 10 even though I have not missed an hour of 250 steps all day. Instead of dots for the hours I have a continuous line from 9am until now. Even these are not showing on my phone. Steps for the day so far have accumulated but not the hourly count.

Welcome on board @OrlaMull! If the hourly step goal on your Charge 3 doesn't match with the Fitbit app and Fitbit.com dashboard, after you sync, let's try the following:
- Log out/log in to your Fitbit account to refresh the data
- Force sync it on your Fitbit app and Fitbit.com Dashboard
I've moved your post to the Charge 3 and created a new topic for you. This way you'll receive more personalized troubleshooting steps.
Test your trackers today and let me know tomorrow if your trackers and hourly activity goal match!
Was my post helpful? Give it a thumbs up to show your appreciation! Of course, if this was the answer you were looking for, don't forget to make it the Best Answer! Als...

this is only since the update this morning. up to this my hourly steps recorded no problem. I would have 10 hours generally weekdays and 8/9 at weekends. I'm now back down to 1 hour today. Synching is very slow also since update. have logged out/in forced sync not making a difference

Only 11 mins heart rate recorded all day too. Not happy with this update can it be reversed?

so since last night my heart rate is no longer being tracked. I unpaired my charge 3 from my app and now it will not make a successful connection again. get as far as the pairing stage then keeps searching or asking to try again. This is all as far as I can see a direct result of the firmware update yesterday morning. So, what do I do now?

I had the same issue after the update. Closing down and restarting bluetooth on my iPhone 6 iOS 12.0.1 helped me, my heart rate is now synced to the Fitbit app again. Hope this helps.

I'm having the same issues, after a hard battle i managed to repair and sync the device. Though it seems that from time to time when i check may pulse, there is nothing, just the two lines like my wrist band is took off.

so I contacted support yesterday who suggested I change the clock face and then I would see the hourly step icon back on my display. tried but didn't complete new clock set up. My fitbit now says I have a clock error and to go back to the app and choose a different face. I have tried all the available versions and nothing works. Because I was having trouble syncing I removed the device from the app and now I can't connect it again. I get to the stage sometimes of pairing ie. numbers but then it won't complete the set up - what will I do?

Several problems began on my Charge 3 Saturday April 20, and no resolution despite recharging, logging out/in and force sync.
First problem is the active hours on tracker are not showing up in app. Shows zero active hours in App every day since Sunday April 21, while my tracker is tracking many each day, overall step count is syncing but not active hours.
Second problem is sleep tracking has switched to Simplified tracking since Sunday, with no change in how/where I wear the tracker while sleeping.
Third problem is Active Minutes during exercise stopped working on both the tracker and the App since Sunday April 21. I went for a 3.5 mile run (over 40 mins) yesterday with average bpm above 150, and Active Minutes for the day was zero.
I have only had this Fitbit 4 months, so this is disappointing!

I am having the same issue - for the past 2 or 3 months. Although the fitbit itself is showing 250+ steps for each hour - some of them don't show correctly on the app once synced.
I find no rhyme or reason to which ones it excludes. The overall step count appears to sync correctly.
I have tried all possible restart, logout/in, etc permutations of both fitbit and phone with no actual change.
This was working correctly until recently -- I believe an update introduced this problem as well as broke the low battery notifications.
Will there be a solution soon Fitbit?

I worked with a Fibit rep for a hour. She had me to reset my Charge 3 several times, then had me to completely uninstall the fitbit software and re-install it several times. She had me to make sure I had the absolute newest operating system on my phone and went through its settings. After all that she gave me the final answer. The problem is with the software. Fitbit knows about the problem and has no intention of correcting it, because it does not consider hourly activity important. She told me to remove the hourly activity from the software, so I would no longer get hourly messages. I still get weekly reports and they include hourly activity, which she said is insignificant. So, bottom line. Forget about any fixes on hourly activity, Fitbit, (now owned by Google) is more interested in tracking you and your location, than providing the service we had come to expect.
