Charge 3 on the fritz... now dead.

My Charge 3 is less than a year old- I was golfing and after a drive my Fitbit went haywire.

It kept buzzing and seemed to be me stuck between two screens.
As flattering as it is that Fitbit thinks I crushed the ball, I didn’t. Nor did the device come into any contact.

It kept buzzing until the battery died and now it won’t charge.

I read a couple other posts where this happened to users.

If someone from customer support could email me, I’d appreciate it.

Nice to see that you're digging into the Fitbit Forums @JBasq. Let me give you a warm Welcome to our Community. Thanks @NellyG for participating in this conversation too.

I'm sorry to hear that you are experiencing this situation with your Charge 3. If you haven't already done so, I recommend to restart your Charge 3 following the instructions below:

  1. Plug the charging cable into the USB port on your computer or any UL-certified USB wall charger.
  2. Clip the other end of the charging cable to the port on the back of the tracker. The pins on the charging cable must lock securely with the port.
  3. Make sure the button on your tracker is aligned with the button opening on the charging cable. You’ll know the connection is secure when the tracker vibrates and you see a battery icon on your tracker’s display.
  4. Press and hold the button on your tracker for 8 seconds. When you see a smile icon and the tracker vibrates, the tracker restarted.
  5. Unplug your tracker from the charging cable.

I hope this helps, keep me posted! 😺

I got it to restart and was seemingly working for about a week, and the same thing is happening

the charge 3 haptic button is malfunctioning.

I took a video of it that I uploaded to drive and can send you a link to.

Did anyone get back to you? Mine is doing the same thing, screen turning off and on even if I am not wearing it and the heartrate thing goes up and up.

I am having this problem. After jogging two days ago it kept vibrating constantly. The battery dropped fast. I plugged it in a d charged it and it keeps dying within an hour or two. The screen goes completely  black. I have reset it by holding the side while on charge. I get the smiley face. But today  it's not resetting. During the night I had it on charge and it started vibrating out of nowhere waking me up and I had to take it off. This morning it's at 23%.

This problem has come on suddenly. I have my fitbit since September and the battery lasted a week up until now.

I have seen several similar posts. I have gone through all the recommendations of cleaning, restarting and making sure it is in a phone style charger as well as charging from the computer. On the help it says that there is a 2 day wait for response to emails. I am very concerned as it seems so common and I bought both my retired parents the same watch.  Can you flag this please.

I have the issue also.  The battery started to deplete faster than the usual, then it the display would change a lot on its own.  Then it stopped synching, reset,  and charging.  I bought it less than 1 year ago.  I am following responses to this post

Mine dropped 23% in 10 minutes. I was shocked.

Has anyone noticed that when they turn off the heart rate tracker it fixes things a bit?

I have reset, both ways on the tracker and with the cable, I have restarted the heartrate monitor, I have cleaned it, etc.

Right now my options are, heartrate tracker on and I burn over 4000 calories as a 5'0" 125lb 32 year old female 😬 OR turn heartrate off and well... What's the point of an expensive step counter...?
