Charge 3 overheated and died

Hi there,

I have a charge 3 purchased from Argos in the UK. It was working just fine until yesterday morning when the screen just died. After going through help forum topics on here, I plugged it in and pressed the side button to restart. While that worked, I realised that the 100 percent battery started to drain in a matter of 60 minutes.

This morning when I plugged it in again it charged just fine but died afterwards. When I plugged it in again it got extremely hot! I left it there anyway for an hour but couldn't see anything on the screen. Pressed and held the side button, and nothing on screen and no vibration at all. After I unplugged the device, it remained hot for like 30 minutes.

I don't know what to do. I have read that other people have experienced similar things happening to their charge 3. But couldn't find any solution.

Please help! I really need it to work.

Thanks.

Hi @DowntownK - How long ago did you purchase the Charge 3? Since it’s likely your device is still under warranty, I would recommend you contact Support

Hello @SunsetRunner

Thank you for your help.

I purchased the charge 3 on 12th  March 2019. Suspect it's not under warranty.

I don't know what happened to hit. Many users on here have reported identical with Charge 3. Thought there might be a fix. But it seems like it's dead for good. 😞

@DowntownK - Check the warranty. You purchased the device in the UK. If you registered it there, you may be eligible for the 2 year warranty. Definitely contact Support.
