So far I have accidentally paused a workout on accident every single time, not realizing it until half way through my workout. With the pause capability tied to the pressure touch button. Anything brushing up against the watch pauses it like boxing gloves or your own body and ending the workout is far more difficult than it should be.
Change the pause function to require you to hold the pressure button for 3 seconds, have the end workout option appear here.

Hi,
I use my Charge 3 for mountain biking and at least 2 out of 3 rides I find the Charge 3 has paused during the ride. I had a Charge 2 before this and it never accidently paused. Upgraded as the battery died in the Charge 2 and I thought the Charge 3 would be an improvement - how wrong I was.
Very annoying. If I had been aware of this issue I wouldn't have bought a Charge 3 until the issue was fixed. What's the point in manually editing a ride when I have riden say 11km, but the workout says 5km as the Charge 3 paused during the ride. Editing doesn't help me. For people who use the exercise option in the Charge 3 this pausing issue is a big deal. I have now resorted to using the auto detect exercise option so that the pausing doesn't come into play - downside is that it doesn't display the GPS information.. Fitbit really need to fix this.

Not even a reply to my issue from Fitbit - disappointing. This pausing issue disrupts anyone who uses the exercise option and for most of us that is why we purchased the watch so we can track exercise. I loved my Charge 2 and in hindsight I should have bought another one. Not impressed. Unless fixed, the Charge 3 will be my last Fitbit watch.

Was happy to find this thread and to know I am not the only one completely annoyed with the fact that the smallest touch to the side and you pause your exercise. If I even attempt a push-up or plank it pauses. I don’t understand the point of having a fitness tracker that doesn’t track your fitness because it pauses and stops tracking. I also don’t understand how this isn’t a priority to fix. It seems to be that an update that allows you to turn the sensitivity off, just like you can turn off screen awake or notifications , would be a great fix. I am just super irritated that the only thing I can really accurately use this for is to track heart rate...because who knows about steps or calories because I lost most of my workout because it pauses whenever I bend my arm. I could have saved a lot of money and just bought a cheap workout tracker if I would have known this.

I find it useful as a step tracker and semi useful as a sleep tracker (although it misses naps frequently). If you bend your wrist during exercise or have straps, gloves, etc.that touch your hands or wrists, this is useless. From this thread apparently Fitbit has no interest in fixing the problem. Mine is for sale if anyone is looking for a Charge 3

My Fitbit is doing this and it’s a joke and a bigger joke that they won’t do anything about it 👎🏻
