My 1st Charge 3 lasts only for about 6 months. The issue was there were vertical white lines appearing on the display and the touch is somehow unresponsive.
Since it's still warranty, fitbit support sent me a replacement. Then after 6 months, the same issue aroused.
My charge has never been wet nor dropped.
I can infer that Charge 3 is a failure.. total crap for the price you give.

Me too worse product I have purchased. The displays quit and from the community I guess this has been going on for the whole time the Charge 3 has been on the market and they have not done anything to fix the problem. I agree a piece of expensive crap.
