I've had it plugged to the charger but nothing happens, when i try to restart it by pressing the side button it just vibrates constantly whilst the button is pressed, the app can no longer see it either.  Can anyone help please?

Well darn... Im glad it charged up and synced atleast the once.

Id look for another thread on the blank screen issue, i have no experience or suggestions too fix that, except while you know its turned on, connect the charger, and then hold the side button until you see the loading bar that shuts off the device and hold it until the bar is full, and release, it should be fully off..

Try too turn on again and see if that helps.

If not, like i said, try looking for help on that issue separately, seems like your battery is charging now atleast...

Hello there @pollyjaney and @Cindy8256, thanks for stopping by! I'm sorry to hear that your trackers are not charging despite of some steps you've tried so far. I'll be glad to help!

Please take a look at the help article Why isn't my battery charging? and follow the instructions provide there.

We recommend to charge your trackers via the USB port over a wall adapter. However, it is also possible to charge your Fitbit tracker with a UL certified wall adapter. What may actually cause damage to the tracker's battery (either on a computer or a wall adapter) is the charging time, which if excessive over time may damage the battery and therefore cause quick battery drain or prevent the tracker from charging at all.

Tips to best charge Fitbit trackers are:

  • Use only genuine Fitbit charging cables
  • Use only UL-certified wall chargers
  • Avoid USB battery packs
  • Charge at room temperature

For charging purposes, your charging cable can be plugged into any USB power source, including but not limited to:

  • A computer
  • A Wall A/C to USB adapter, commonly found with smartphones
  • A DC to USB adapter (vehicle power port)

Let me know if you need anything else!

From off and dead state, try connecting it too the charger, and leave it alone for atleast 10 full min, then move the device and see if its charging normally, and if the screen doesnt light up showing charge level, disconnect and reconnect the charger without using the button too restart the pebble, and see if it recognizes the charger then...

I have had android tablets that run right dead, and wouldnt turn on when first plugged back in, i have always gotten them too work by leaving it for a while in plugged in even though it doesnt appear to be charging, and then trying too replug in and power on after its has some time too bring the battery over 1 or 2 %...

The pebble might just need the base charge of 1 or 2 % before it will light the display and do anything... Let me know if this helps, ill keep thinking in the mean time for you

Thanks Merlin - i left mine plugged in for a few hours and eventually i got a message from the app to say my device had a low battery - so it had re synched, which is great. I left it alone for another hour and the app tells me it has a full battery - so i unplug it and put it on, it's tracking fine - but no display, I've tried changing the clock face as this has worked for me in the past, but it's still blank.  I'm just going to leave it overnight and try and restart it in the morning, though i am worried it will make it worse instead of better... wish me luck!

Success - when i awoke this morning it wouldn't synch again (although the green light was flashing so it still had some charge)  but i plugged it in to the charger and restarted it - and the screen came back and it's talking to the app again - so at the moment it's acting normally 🙂

My charge 3s battery died. I can't get it to do anything. A vibration would be welcome.

It has been plugged in for 10 minutes...I've read all the help and cant make it work.

My best advice is in my two posts above...

All i can add it that if the pebble has been dead for a while, more than 1 day, when you connect it too the charger, make sure its seated correctly, and then LEAVE IT for more than the 10min i advised, like 30min, without touching the side button or anything. Dont worry if the screen doesnt light up, just leave it for now.

Then in 30min, disconnect the charger wait a few secs and reconnect it to the charger, and see if the screen lights up with charge status....

If at that point nothing still happens, while its connected to the charger, press and hold the side button for atleast 15secs, release, wait 3 secs, and do it again, if it doesnt work after twice, stop.

Let me know if that helps, if it doesnt, im at a loss for you....

Thank you so much! I had the same problem and I was a bit panicky! But I followed your suggestions about leaving it to charge (longer than 10 mins or until the app said it's full) and then changed the clockface to reconnect with the device and it worked! Like a miracle!

The same thing happened to me today. The battery as low, so it turned off around 6:30am. I've had it plugged into the OEM charger for over 2 hours, and nothing has happened. I've tried the reset option, and still nothing.

I've charged it now for hours, my app says it is 99%. I just see a blank screen. I have tried pushing in the button for 15 seconds, and I get a couple quick vibrations. After 15 seconds, i release for 3 seconds, then press again for 15 seconds. Isn't showing anything on the screen.

I am having issues with lines in the screen.  Looking at the back of the charge 3 I saw a small opening (that is where the battery is) and decided to use a pin to see if I could correct the problem.  What happened was exactly what you are experiencing.  I then inserted the pin pushing down a couple times and that solved the problem of the constant vibration.  I'm sure that's probably something I'm not supposed to be doing, but hey, we get frustrated and desperate.

Hello everyone. @GracefulAging Welcome to the community forums.

I'm sorry for the experience and thank you very much for the detailed information and for the steps you've followed. At this time, I'd like to let you know that some Fitbit devices have small holes for sensors such as the microphone or altimeter. Don’t attempt to restart your device by inserting any items such as paper clips into these holes, as you can damage your Fitbit device.

In addition, if the inconvenience with the screen persists, I'd recommend visiting this thread for additional tips and suggestions. On a side note, this thread is now closed and if you have any additional questions or inquiries, I'd recommend posting them in a new thread.
