Super annoyed, for last month charge 3 will just stop recording my weight lifting sessions? I had read others had issues with the sensitivity of the pad while doing high impact sports but lifting weights should not be enough to shut it off. Disappointed and will be looking to purchase a Apple Watch now

I have been having the exact same issue. My Fitbit stops recording exercise in the middle of walking or hiking. Also, it's not detecting exercise.I ave restarted my Charge 3 several times and it's not working. This glitch is highly inconvenient and renders the Fitbit somewhat useless. I'd like to know how long this will take to get fixed and what Fitbit can do to help.

Mine is acting up again as well. Oddly started happening around the same time the Charge 4 went on the market. I'm sure tech companies never purposely try and obsolete old products, just a coincidence.
I found doing a reset helps for a few days and then back to missing data. Here's a few views of my morning walk.
Note that the total steps look like what I would expect but if you add up the individual slots they don't come near 7110. A 1 hr walk at 115 steps per min = 6900, so a 15 min slot should be ~ 1700 but it's showing ~ 200? This has happened a few times where the total steps appear to be reported but the hourly stats are useless and then is corrected after a reset.
Here's my heart chart.
Note that it kicks out right in the beginning of my walk at 8:50 and then restarts once I'm finished around 9:50. Obviously it's not logging any "active minutes" since that requires a heartbeat reading.
Frustrating ... makes the tracker rather useless. Time for another brand? I was hoping that with Google purchasing these guys things would improve but not so.
