Charge 3 randomly vibrating and switching screens

I just bought my charge 3 about a month ago. This past weekend it started constantly vibrating and switching screens on me. Itll turn notifications off randomly or turn my screen wake of. It then doesn’t respond to touch and won’t stop. This has been happening for hours today the longest it’s been and it’s getting pretty frustrating and not sure what to do

Welcome to the Community Forums @JLeyva! I totally understand how you feel. Thanks for already restarting your Charge 3 to solve the issue.

 

Since the restart didn't work, I'd recommend restarting your device using the 15-second method: 

 

  1. Connect the device to the charging cable. 
  2. While the device is plugged into the charging cable, press and hold the button down for 15 seconds. 
  3. The device turns on and shows a battery icon. Two vibrations occur: first a short vibration, then a medium vibration. 
  4. The device turns off.
  5. The device turns on and shows a progress bar and short vibrations occur. The progress bar completes. Note: A total of 7 short vibrations occur. 
  6. Remove the device from the charging cable. The device shuts down.
  7. Important: Plug the device into the charging cable again

 

If this step doesn't work either, please check on the Fitbit app if your Charge 3 is still syncing. If so, change the clock face to a different one to see if this brings back the display. Don't worry if you cannot see anything on the display by now, this process is done through the Fitbit app.

My Fitbit charge 3 starting vibrating and randomly switching screens.  I have had it since November 2018 and no issues until now. I have read multiple posts and tried reseting multiple ways with no luck correcting the issue. Please offer some insight as I get really annoyed when it starts doing this. I love this device but not at the moment. Thank you in advance for any assistance.

Following the steps to do both restarts and change the clock face and mind is still doing this. What now?

I’m having the same issue today. I have also tried the instructions to reset and change the screen it still keeps vibrating and switching screens. Are there any other solutions??

Mine doing the same. Can't reset due to switch activating all the time

Mine is doing this too.  Can't turn off.  Can't find new clock face on app.

 

Okay found new face but it hasn't helped!

I have the same problem. Followed all your suggested steps (15 sec restart / sync app / change clock) but there problem remains. Please let me know what to do.

Same issue as stated, unable to do anything functionally as it continues to vibrate and switching screens.

What other options we have?

I never did manage to fix the problem.  Fitbit replaced mine.Sent from Samsung tablet

I'm having the same issue and it's draining my battery even though it was fully charged a day ago. I can't do any tracking and doing the suggested resets/etc have not worked

I have completed the reset but changing clock face just hangs. Like another user, Iit seems the battery is draining quickly too. Please provide further assistance.

I have the same issue.  I’ve followed all steps and the problem is not corrected. In addition to these problems it does not hold a charge for more than a few hours.  Please help.

I have the same issue and your advice us not solving it. Now it is not reacting at all, and not able to sync as it tells me my device is not found. I am so frustrated. This is the first time in my many years if Fitbit that I consider leaving Fitbit

No, and no response from Fitbit. I gave up and left Fitbit after 7 years.

I have the same problem. Solution does not work. Between this and the strap problems I am thinking I will ditch Fitbit.
