Charge 3 recording steps I haven’t done

My Fitbit charge 3 is recording steps that I haven’t done.  I have it set for the correct wrist but it still says I have done far more steps than I know I have.  The other day it recorded me as having done well over 10,000 steps and I hadn’t even left the house.  All I had done was some cleaning.  It is counting steps when I move my arm.  Any advice on how I can stop it doing this thank you

Just wait until you drive and you're NOT moving your arm and thousands of steps get added!

Mine is doing the same thing and since Fitbit is not answering you question that tells me there is no fix. I am taking mine back tomorrow.
