Charge 3's display has vertical lines

I'm having the same problem described here https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Charge-3/Charge-3-is-showing-white-vertical-lines/m-p/3305047#M44483

 

It happened after charging after running out of battery.

 

What should I do? My screen works but it has vertical lines all over the place.

I have followed the reset directions.  No dice.

I have changed the clock face.  No dice.

 

I need help.  I'm discouraged with this Charge 3.  It hasn't lasted that long at all.

They have known according to this faq page that this is happening since as far back as Feb 2019

Mine was bought in October....so despite all the mails and no doubt exchanges they have not only allowed them to be sold but blatantly refuse to take respinsibility

I put my Fitbit on the charger and reboot the watch. The face still has vertical gray stripe background

Add me to the list of people who experienced this failure. My Charge 3 is 15 months old. It just started doing the white stripes thing this week, out of the blue. And since it was out-of-warranty, Fitbit said they wouldn't replace. They did offer a 25% off coupon on a new purchase. With the current sale, that made using that offer more expensive than buying without. Which I did, because I really depend on my Charge 3. But I don't have a lot of faith this problem won't happen on it.

I have restarted and changed clock face and it is only getting worse. This happened to my husbands and eventually it totally died. Is the charge 3 have a lot of glitches? My husband is on his second one and we take very good care of them.

Good morning,

 

I am having the white vertical lines after charging my Fitbit 3 this morning.  It was working fine up until it got charged this morning.  It wasn't completely empty when I charged it either.

 

Please advise.

Seems to be something of a xommon fault. I called the customer services
team and they arranged a replacement for me, as my phone was still under
guarantee.

Mine just randomly got grey vertical lines this morning. I restarted it and nothing happened. I’ve had it for over a year so it’s nice to know that there’s nothing I can do about it except buy another one. 😔

This did not work for my Charge 3, either. The problem appeared after 4 - 5 months, purchased new (August 2019 to January 2020).

Morning
After taking all recommended steps, I called cust care team and explained
problem.
A replacement was agreed and delivered promptly.
How long this will last is another question - this does appear to be a
known fault.

Hello, I have tried restarting it as well. The lines are still across my screen. Please help me fix this. I’ve owned many fitbits and this is the first fitbit that this has happened. I’ve also tried to get in contact with customer service and still no luck. Please help.

Having the same issue today. 3 days ago my fitbit went completely blank. Last night it actually came back on. This morning a have lines across the screen. I have reset it and changed faces . Lines are still there.

I also have vertical white strips and have restarted.  The restart did not work.  Did you come up with any other options and how to fix it?

I actually called customer service and they are replacing my Fitbit.
