Charge 3's display has vertical lines

I'm having the same problem described here https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Charge-3/Charge-3-is-showing-white-vertical-lines/m-p/3305047#M44483

It happened after charging after running out of battery.

What should I do? My screen works but it has vertical lines all over the place.

Hello. I have the same issue with this fit bit. Restarting doesn't work. Please can you advise what to do next? Thank you.

Issue is regarding white lines/corrupted dosplay image.

Just set up my new Charge 3. all is fine until after the finalization of the set up. Then, all get a vertical line. I tried the hold the button thing, several times: all I get is a smiley face and then the vertical line.

I re-set the set up several times: same issue.

Oh, it's not a vertical line, it's an horizontal line!

Hi there,

I’m also experiencing the same issue!! This is so unfair! I bought a Fitbit for my bfs mother who saw the stripes when it was freshly opened from the box. Luckily, they replaced it very quickly.
Now it’s happening to my Fitbit. I’ve tried restarting and changing the clock face! Not gives the issue. This is a common issue for Charge 3, seeing all the posts and forums since 2019. I emailed support and hope to get a response soon! I’m currently in Shanghai, so really hope I get support.

I have a Charge 3 as well. I attempted to hard reset, soft reset, and factory resent and I am still getting the vertical lines. HELP!

My Charge 3 shows vertical black lines/missing white lines - still after attempted hard reset, soft reset, and factory reset.

A ~ $130 device should last longer than 2 years. Is there a solution? If not, having read all of the similar problems described, I will NEVER buy another Fitbit product.

Seem this is command problem for charge 3 , I have two with same issues, try to reset and no change, unlock all over one year, and only one and half year start the problem. Is this a software issue? Or hardware issues? Is this is software , why never been fix?

if this is hardware issues, then will be designed faults, why not cover in the warranty?

I am also now having this same issue.

I have tried to do the reset by plugging it into the charging cable and it won't do that fully either it gets half way and just turns back on normally.

My charge 3 isn't even a year old yet what do I do?

You should still be under warranty. Get in touch with support. They will send you a new Fitbit. I am out of luck. I am out of warranty

Hello everyone. Thanks for participating in the community forums.

@DNF @moemaloney1969 Thank you very much for your great input! I'd like to let you know that in order for you to receive further assistance and information about your inquiries, I recommend contacting our Support Team. Take into consideration that replacement devices are provided for products within the warranty period. If your original Charge 3 devices are no longer under warranty a discount could be an available option but some conditions and requirements should be met. For more information, I recommend visiting the following link: https://www.fitbit.com/global/us/legal/returns-and-warranty
