Charge 3 screen black and won't display

I've had my charge 3 for over a year now I've always found the screen dim and hard to read. Now its impossible I tried the reboot and changing the clock face but the whole middle section is missing. Now it won't display at all when you move wrist or tap the face . Is it time for a new one?  Disappointed I might have to replace it so soon already had to replace the strap three times....
