I probably sent 6 emails in total start to finish.  Basically it's there common fault so they should rectify issue as states it on your forum with overheating issues.  I will b seeking legal advice if nothing gets done.  4  days later I had new one.  Good luck.  Jon

My husband gifted me a Fitbit Charge 3 a couple of months back. Last week I met an accident and then screen of my Fitbit broke; but otherwise it is working fine. Can the watch be replaced or at least the screen be fixed? My current location is India.

Please let me know what should I do. It's a recent purchase.

Please let me know the process. How should I initiate the replacement?

I am glad they are listening to you. I am not getting the same response. In fact, I am offended that they just keep sending me "copy and paste" verbiage from their warranty that doesn't even apply to my situation. Pretty much they are ignoring everything I am saying and then blaming me for the situation.

Great customer service. Not.

Agree I will never by another Fitbit product. Very disappointed as I picked mine up after it was charging and the screen was shattered. Mine has never been dropped either.  They offered me a discount on a future product. I don’t want a future product if it’s just going to crack and not work.

At least they reached out to you. I still have yet to hear back from them.

I emailed them about the issue.

They then asked me to email a photo of the crack and a copy of the receipt..

my fitbit was a charge 2 and nearly 2 years old but they sent me a new one.

I wont wear it in direct hot sunlight as I think its this that is causing the glass to crack.

Zumbaren,

are you saying they were not going to cover a cracked Charge 3 screen?? Not covered by the limited warranty ?? How is this ?

Surely if the screen cracks in normal use ie on its own !!  They would be replacing or refunding it yes?

That is exactly what I am saying, unfortunately.

As a matter of fact the last email I received from them was quite rude. Pretty much told me to stop communicating with them about my screen being cracked. I have stopped wearing my Fitbit now completely and will be looking at an alternate company after years of using FitBit products.

This seems to be a common problem... I have been using my new HR charge 3 for 4 days and the screen is cracked. As did my HR 2 but after 2 years. Fitbit have basically said it’s not their problem under their warranty policy.. great!! Not great! I expect more of a watch that is designed for sports and swimming - now I am too scared to swim in it in case it gets more damaged. I’ve had my waterproof swatch watch for 30 years and the screen has never cracked... very very disappointed ☹️

MADE MY REVIEW WITH MY WALLET:

Costco has a great deal on Apple Watches for members right now. Mine is very pretty. And I know Costco will give me CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Bye bye FitBit! 😡

I see that a few Charge3 users have cracked screens.  Mine also cracked less than a year of use and not due to dropping.  I am also not going to submerge in water.  I like what it does for me but it appears the screen is very susceptible to damage and difficult to read with the diagonal crack. Please advise what I can do.

Thanks,

I have the same issue. A crack on my Fitbit charge 3. Because of this the sensors when you move your wrist to see the time or steps aren't working well. After writing to them and talking to them (customer care) I was told it's not under warranty.  I was told not to use for swimming :(. Not happy with this support. And I made my whole family buy Fitbit now .

My fitbit screen cracked as well (while rock climbing) how do I get it fixed?

Hi Nhug14,

Given it was broken while rock climbing, don't believe you would qualify for
any warranty type assistance. You will need to contact FitBit support if
you want to organise a replacement Fitbit, I don't believe they would fix
the existing one..

Good luck,

Regards
