Like everyone else here, the instructions that you gave made the situation worse. Now the screen is totally black.

My Fitbit Charge 3 is having the same screen visibility issues and it just past the 2 years warranty. If nothing else works from the posts and since you can't replace the battery, is it safe to say to just buy a new one? I'd rather just know this and get a new one to keep monitoring my steps and all of the other great functions.

Mine is having the same issue and is just a month past the extended warranty.
