Charge 3 screen doesn't come on when I turn my wrist

My Fitbit Charge 3 screen doesn't come on when I turn my wrist to look at it, I have had it two weeks and up to yesterday it did. Now I have to tap the screen to see anything. I did the latest update when I bought it. Not a big problem but it has me puzzled.

@SunsetRunner, have you verified that Quick View is enabled on the tracker?  Press & hold the side button for a few seconds to display Screen Wake - If it is disabled, it has a diagonal line through it.  You can tap on the icon to toggle if On or Off.

Screen Wake is enabled but face turns on maybe on 10% of wrist flips 😞

I have a charge 3, the setting is enabled to view when I flip my wrist BUT it's still not turning on automatically.  It was working prior to yesterday  when I went swimming.  Everything else seems to be working fine.
