Charge 3 screen doesn't come on when I turn my wrist

My Fitbit Charge 3 screen doesn't come on when I turn my wrist to look at it, I have had it two weeks and up to yesterday it did. Now I have to tap the screen to see anything. I did the latest update when I bought it. Not a big problem but it has me puzzled.

This "feature" of hiding two settings in a non-intuitive location is one of my biggest gripes with the Charge 3.  Somehow, this setting sometimes gets turned off without me doing anything, then I drive myself crazy trying to find it (swiping in various directions, tapping in various ways, checking the settings in the app (where is used to be), etc) until I Google it again and find - "oh yeah, FitBit made the stupid decision to hide two settings in this non-intuitive place, rather than putting them in the screen with all the other settings.

Whoever made this design decision should be fired.  Put the setting with the rest of the settings!

Yes, I 100% agree with you.

Somewhat, I have turn "screen wake" off and took me ages to solve to activate it again. Drive me crazy!

Thanks to this post, I find the secret steps for the hidden settings.

Its working now. I had to uninstall and reinstall the app. I called Fitbit
and they walked me through it. There was a setting buried in the watch
that needed to be turned on also. I can't remember where or what it was
called.

I was just getting on the Fitbit site to find out why my Fitbit Charge 3 wouldn't be visible when I turned my wrist. It was ok until a few days ago. Somebody answered that I might not have my "wake" feature on and that was definitely it!  All better now. Thank you guys!

  • Thank-you Larry.....that has been going on with mine for about a week now, and it's been driving me crazy. I had no idea quick view and screen wake were even turned off. Worked like a charm. 👏🙋‍:female_sign:🤷‍:female_sign:🤦‍:female_sign:🤘😎:sun_with_face:👍

I have no idea what these instructions mean. When I turn my wrist: nothing. If I push the side button: clock as normal. There is no Screen Wake anything, nor anything with a diagonal line through it. I can find no settings whatsoever to re-enable the clock coming on when I turn my wrist. This is very frustrating!

Have you verified that Quick View is enabled on the tracker?  Press & hold the side button for a few seconds to display Screen Wake - If it is disabled, it has a diagonal line through it.  You can tap on the icon to toggle if On or Off.

This worked for me.

The instructions should accommodate those of us with the NFC version of the Charge 3. Long pressing the side button takes you to the unlock screen. Then from the wallet screen you swipe left to get to the Screen Wake setting.

It still is not working when I flip my wrist even after your recommendations.  I did buy a new wrist band that has a magnet on the end?

Wrist rotation not working. I have tried pressing  and holding side button to enable screen wake  but when I do this the Fitbit pay shows and I can’t find screen wake anywhere.

The best answer solution doesn't work for me. The screen still doesn't come on when I turn my wrist even with Screen Wake turned on.  This is really annoying!
