My Fitbit Charge 3 screen doesn't come on when I turn my wrist to look at it, I have had it two weeks and up to yesterday it did. Now I have to tap the screen to see anything. I did the latest update when I bought it. Not a big problem but it has me puzzled.

My charge 3 screen is really dim in comparison to my old charge 2, it isn't easy to see when in daylight, I have tried resetting/rebooting etc but with no luck, can you help please?

This has become an issue again after firmware release 1.88.11. The new ‘don’t disturb’ option doesn’t allow to manage the Charge 3 to wake up when turning your wrist?

I have had this problem and nothing works. It started months ago but I was in a crazy work and selling a home buying a home moving away several states I have not had time to keep trying and calling fitbit. This is the most annoying thing it makes my watch useless what good is needing two hand to tell time . I haver done resets et. The quick view screen wake won't toggle the words screen wake are illuminated the lightbulb is not illuminated but has a line through it. I have three family members besides me that have been loyal fitbit users but if this problem doesn't go away I will be going to Apple Watch.
PLease fix this or send me a replacement

Under “settings” on my Versa, Brightness, Screen Wake & DND appear, but shadowed, and cannot be toggled with a tap. Meanwhile, other functions are brighter and can be toggled on/off.

I have been using my Charge 3 for about a year now. For the first 9 months it worked great. Then I got a software update on the tracker and it's been downhill ever since. Am currently on the 1.88.11 tracker version.
* Notifications to move stopped working about 3 months ago - this was 80% of why I got the tracker in the first place. Breaking this is essentially the same as stomping on my tracker. It is now broke, by Fitbit.
* Screen wake stopped working this week - now I need to press the button to get the screen to display. This is a royal pain. I also tried the press/hold on the button to get to these hidden settings, and tapping on the DND/Sleep/Screen wake selections did nothing. They didn't change at all with tapping.
* Showers are getting recorded as Swim events - I don't swim, so my water exposure is showering (no baths) and washing dishes. And it will say the exercise lasted 20-35 mins. My showers are typically 7-10 mins long. The Swim display is also very confusing. At the top of the screen in the teal bar it will say 5'44"/100yd, but then in the Lengths it will say 328 yd 12 lengths. None of which makes any sense, even if I was swimming.
So, all these issues noted, I was playing around with the app as lately I am constantly trying to see if there is something I can do in the app to get my tracker to start working again. I made a small change (added a location to Weather app), and then weirdly I got my first notification to move in over 3 months. So then I tried tipping my write and voila, the Screen wake started working. I tried the press/hold again to look at the mystery settings and now Screen wake had a lightbulb icon over it and was responsive when I tapped it.
Seems like the tracker software is too fragile. More user testing is needed.

Not turning on when I tap
Tapping on screen wake does not turn it on BUT it does dim the screen. What now?

Hello @Tupper. It's nice to see you around.
Thank you for the detailed information. Please make sure that your Fitbit Charge 3 hasn't gone into DND (Do not disturb) or Sleep mode. When any of these settings are activated:
To change this, press and hold the button, and swipe left to access the quick settings screen. Tap a setting to turn it on or off. When you turn off the setting, the icon appears dim with a line through it. For more information, see How do I navigate my Fitbit device?
If that is not the case and you've followed the recommended steps from this thread, my best recommendation is that you please reach out to our Support Team for further assistance. You can contact them through chat or over the phone and you can click here to get connected.
On a side note, please take into consideration that this thread is now closed. If you have additional questions, please post them in a new thread.
See you around.
