I have adjusted the brightness, I have done the reset with the charging cable. I have changed the clockface. I have charged to full capacity and the screen is still dark. I cannot read it any longer. This started about a month ago and has gradually faded. It must be defective.

Thanks I think I’m going to give up on it. It’s over a year old and there’s no warranty for it. It’s my 3rd Fitbit I like the app but the devices don’t last more than 1-2 years. So I’m going to try for a device that’s more reliable. I can’t afford to keep replacing my Fitbit every year or two. Thanks.

Same issue... my screen and my son's screen are completely out now and no "fix" suggested will work. We've had them just two years. I reached out to fitbit and they offered me a "generous" 35% off of my next purchase (doesn't work for anything on sale, so basically you just get the sale price). I find it incredibly frustrating that they will not do more to acknowledge what a terrible product it is when it lasts only two years. For a fitness tracker, that's pretty disappointing. Looking at other options, and not recommending fitbit products to anyone!

Yes it seems there are so many folks with the same issue. They don’t last long. Currently reviewing the Apple Watch!
