Charge 3 screen goes black

I am having a problem with charge Fitbit 3 screen going black. It makes vibrating noise when pressing side button. Holding for 8 sec while charging brings up smiley face but then goes dead again.it is frustrating.

@ApiFit welcome to our Fitbit Community. I'm happy to assist you with your Charge 3 since the screen goes blank even though you have restarted it before contacting our forums.

 

I'd like you to try one more workaround that has been helpful for this type of issues. Please try changing the clock face to one developed by Fitbit, not a third party clock face and see if the issue gets fixed.

 

Finally, try the troubleshooting steps that are listed in this help article. This article contains the restart process but you can skip it and proceed with the rest. Finally, charge your watch for 2-3 hours and see if the issue gets fixed.

I have tried the 8 and the 15 sec, it will buzz give me a smiley face but won't charge just goes black. Tried to chg the clock setting but it says it can't connect to my charge 3.
