Charge 3 screen gray with with white stripes/unable to sync

I have had my Fitbit approx. 9 months. I have been unable to sync since July 29/19 and the screen is now gray with white vertical stripes. I can still see the clock and other categories, but the stopwatch seems to have disappeared. I have tried numerous times to get the Fitbit to restart. I get the smiley face but nothing seems to happen. The Fitbit has never been in water. I have tied re-pairing with my computer, and although the computer can see the Fitbit, it does not pair. It is not syncing with my android phone either. Please help.

same problem: vertical faded white stripes and a less responsive screen.  It just happened without any obvious event triggering it.

 

Have tried the long reset and nothing improves.

I’ve had my Fitbit charge 3 just over a year. As of June 29, after charging my Fitbit the display has had vertical white/gray stripes. I’ve tried the rebooting the device through the settings on the device itself, as well as the long press, when I charged it again. I’ve also tried selecting different clock faces...and yet, the vertical/white stripes remain. 
Please let me know how to proceed.

As of today I'm having the exact same problem can't get in contact with customer service

Hi I’ve had my fit bit since April and today I’ve got these white lines down the screen. I take it off to shower. I’ve tried resetting it 3 times and changing the clock face but nothing has worked. The screen is also unresponsive at times

Hi @AlvaroFitbit . Since the time I posted, I chatted with FitBit customer service who tried their very best to resolve the issue. In the end, we'd tried all the suggestions to fix the issue. In the end, I bought another FitBit.

Mine began to do this after only a few weeks after I bought it is there any resolve to the issue besides buying a new one?

Let me help you with your Charge 3 showing lines on its screen. Before considering buying one I suggest you restart your tracker by following these instructions.

@SunsetRunner sadly Support couldn't make your tracker work away but happy to hear that you are back on track with a new device and hope you reach all your fitness goals.
