The screen is very light so during daylight can’t see the time etc.

Hi @Lynette1008, it's great to see you in our Fitbit Community. I'd like to follow up and help you with your Charge 3 since the screen is very light and hard to read.
Please restart your Charge 3 as described in this help article. After this, check out this help page, under the subject "Settings App" and adjust the brightness of the screen.
Finally, monitor your tracker and see if the issue gets fixed.
