If you go through the threads, this has happened to many people. Mine is doing the same thing and has been for awhile. If your fitbit is still under warranty they will help you if it is not they will offer you a coupon and tell you to buy another one.

Hi there @MaryMartelloni and @SJClark67, thanks for stopping by in the Community Forums. I'm sorry to hear that the screen of your Charge 3 trackers have gone dim after the update, I understand where your concern is coming from. We‘re taking into consideration your comments and sentiments with regards to our products and services.

Please know when a Fitbit device is deemed defective we review eligibility using the one year warranty option. Our products are indeed designed and made to last (this goes for each product component) however, there is not an infallible way to ensure that no issues will be present in the long run. Because of this, our Warranty Policy is set into providing as much coverage as we can.

Have you checked if by any chance your tracker are set in Sleep Mode? When the sleep mode setting is on:

  • Notifications don't cause the tracker to vibrate or the screen to turn on.
  • The screen's brightness is set to dim.
  • Turning your wrist won't cause the tracker’s screen to turn on.

Sleep mode doesn't automatically turn off unless you set a sleep mode schedule. To schedule sleep mode to automatically turn on during certain hours:

  1. Open the Settings app and tap Sleep Mode.
  2. Tap Schedule to turn it on.
  3. Tap Sleep Interval and set your sleep mode schedule. Sleep mode automatically turns off at the time you schedule, even if you manually turned it on.

You can't turn on do not disturb and sleep mode at the same time.

Mine is not in sleep mode and is still super dim. When i change to dim, i can't hardly see at all in normal lighting situations. I have had my fitbit a little over a year, and purchased it at Costco. Help? I've tried the reset settings as described by @LizzyFitbit

Thank you for your suggestions. However, as I can not see a thing on my screen, I can not follow your instructions.

I understand your warranty policy; however, with the member of posts I see with the same issue then you may want to reconsider your warranty policy. There are an awful lot of people with the charge 3 that can no longer see their display. I highly doubt that all of these people have their device on sleep mode. But hey maybe that is just me.
