Hi @Whill, welcome! It's great to see a new face around the forums.
On your Charge 3, swipe to the left to open the Settings app. Scroll down, tap Brightness and change the screen's brightness. If by any chance the screen is still not bright enough, I'd recommend restarting your tracker to refresh its performance.
By the way, I've moved your post to the Other Charge Trackers to keep our forums organized.
Keep me posted.

Welcome on board, @Szeequ.
Thanks for letting me know about your Charge 3, and the steps tried on your own. I'm sorry you're having this experience and just to confirm, may I know if you've tried restarting it? Also, did you make sure the Sleep Mode is turned off? Please note the screen's brightness is set to dim when this setting is turned on.
Assuming you've tried those steps, let's try performing a long restart with the following steps:

Mine has been doing this recently as well. I hit settings on my fitbit, and have to keep changing brightness back to normal. It seems to default to auto. Is there something on the app that will keep this permanently on "normal"? Thanks!

Hi there, @CatherineR27.
Thanks for the details provided, and every step tried on your own. Because the brightness setting seems to change by itself, may I know if you have set a Sleep Mode schedule on your Charge 3? Let me explain that the Sleep Mode will set the screen's brightness to dim when it's turned on. This setting will also turn on automatically during certain hours if you set a sleep mode schedule. To check this, let me recommend this help article.
If by any chance the issue persists, try the steps from my previous post in order to perform a regular restart, as well as the long restart to see how it goes.

Thanks for the info. Looks like my sleep schedule was on ... have turned off, will see what happens 😉

I hold down the L side “button” and it resets, vibrates as you said, turns off, turns on and gives a smile as its fully charged, then nothing happens as I continue to hold the left button. No progress bar with short vibrations occur
