Charge 3 screen showed a black screen and it's hard to read

My screen started with a black line across the top.  Now it has gone very dim and i can't see anything. I have tried restarting and sending down a new clock face but nothing works.

Hi @Anno55, it's great to see you in our Fitbit Community. I'd like to follow up and help you with your Charge 3 since the screen is dim and showed a black line across. I totally understand how you feel about this and I appreciate the time spent trying to get this issue resolved before contacting our forums.

 

I'd like you t try a long restart. To do so on your device, follow the steps below:

 

  1. Connect the device to the charging cable. 
  2. While the device is plugged into the charging cable, press and hold the button down for 15 seconds. 
  3. The device turns on and shows a battery icon. Two vibrations occur: first a short vibration, then a medium vibration. 
  4. The device turns off.
  5. The device turns on and shows a progress bar and short vibrations occur. The progress bar completes. Note: A total of 7 short vibrations occur. 
  6. Remove the device from the charging cable. The device shuts down.
  7. Important: Plug the device into the charging cable again and see if the screen issues get fixed.

Hi thanks for replying i tried this twice and the screen i still unreadeable any other advice?

I am actually having the same issue! I never noticed a black line but the brightness is horrible! I changed the setting to max. I noticed that there wasn't any change while going thru the levels. I restarted fitbit and no change. Disappointed.  Hoping it resolves itself.

I've tried everything and nothing seems to work . I am so disapointed i think i will return it to where i bought it.AnnSent from Samsung tablet.

I don't blame you. I received mine as a gift last Christmas. Not sure
what's going on but I hope it can be resolved.
