Charge 3 screen too dim

My Charge 3 screen is excessively dim, even with a full charge.  I've tried restarting it with no result. It will occasionally come on bright but after a few seconds it's dim again and I can't get it back. This is indoors and is still difficult to read. Outside with any amount of sunlight, it's impossible to read.

They replaced mine too and it was great for the first week or so. Now it’s suddenly gone dark on me again. I’m so fed up with having issues with my Fitbit devices.

Now they having issues where I'm not receiving any notifications on my
fitbit. At this point I probably will not buy any fitbit products

I am waiting for my replacement to arrive. I almost laughed out loud when their email offered a replacement of my exact Fitbit or 50% off a new product. As if I would give them more money!

Best Answer!!  I have been trying all of the other suggestions including rebooting, changing clock faces, etc. and yet it was so simple.  Go to the settings!

Best Answer
...and do what exactly?

Adjusting the brightness function in Settings to Nirmal or Auto does not
resolve the issue.

I received my replacement Charge 3. I can see the screen again but still not getting a notification if I haven’t done 250 steps in the hour. Cool huh?

There is no settings option in swiping.  I also didn't find settings on the website.

This charge is a piece of junk. They have made no attempt to replace or reimburse. Thousands of them don’t work. I hope they go out of business.

It didn't work. I can still just barely see the screen of my Fitbit Charge 3.

I have exactly the same problem. I have tried changing the brightness in the settings, tried to change the clock and nothing works. Navigating the menues are almost impossible.

I really like my fitbit and it's features but i'm about to give up.

  • I have tried all that. I have been using Fitbit charge 3 for 2 years now. So I know all the basic settings. This looks like a problem in the software.

I am having the same problem. Can't see anything and I cannot change the brightness in the Fitbit phone app either.

Mine keeps dimming but I can now brighten it in settings on the watch but yours sounds like a hardware problem

Do you think it's software? Or, just defective manufacturing? Most
upsetting: Consumer Reports keeps blindly recommending this product highly.
I've contacted them twice. Either they're too shortstaffed to competently
review products or they've become unreliable. I no longer swallow their
recommendations wholesale.

I can’t see it to tell what I’m swiping!

I've tried yesterday to reboot my watch but the problem is that the guide tells me to wait for a smiley face to appear on the screen. Since i can see very little on the screen i don't know if it has appeared or whether my watch has rebooted... It's very frustrating.

Basically at the moment my watch is a very expensive step counter and i can only get information from the app on my phone.

swipe to the right 4 times, tap and then tap again on the top and it should
switch it back to normal
