My Charge 3 screen is excessively dim, even with a full charge. I've tried restarting it with no result. It will occasionally come on bright but after a few seconds it's dim again and I can't get it back. This is indoors and is still difficult to read. Outside with any amount of sunlight, it's impossible to read.

I adjusted the brightness on my Fitbit Charge 3. It's just not bright enough. Apparently it's a product flaw. Please do better. Overall, the Charge 3 has not been a product to recommend. Very sorry I purchased it.

No setting makes it brighter I have 3 choices but nothing changes. It also won’t pair with my iPhone most days.
it is going in a drawer. I don’t have the time or patience for this.

I spoke with a rep today, I told her I tried everything to resolve the issue with no luck. Since my warranty had just expired she gave me a 25%discount towards a new one. I haven’t decided yet. I loved my charge 3

I got the same runaround. 25% off is not enough for wasting that much money on a broken product.
I tried to escalate but Fitbit is firm in saying, “Sorry, you bought our product, this is your problem.” Unless Fitbit takes ownership of the fact that they have a huge defective product, I will never buy another of their products again, and will encourage as many as I can to never buy Fitbit.

This sounds strange but my research leads me to purchase the Amazafit Bip smartwatch from Amazon for $70. It has a constant bright display and tracks steps sleep has GPS and exercise tracking. The battery charge lasts 10-15 days on a single charge. My Fitbit Charge 3 battery lasts for 2 days most at this point with very dim display constantly. I’m ready to move on and try another vendor, don’t have anything to lose at this point!! CNET website (computer specialists) give this product positive reviews!!

I supplemented (still have a working Charge3 but in daylight the display is just not on par with anything else I've used) my Charge3 with a very inexpensive Honor Band - color display, good battery life, but much simpler in operation.

Regarding Amazafit Bip,
Sadly it does not track “floors climbed” and has s poorer water rating than Fitbit products (not recommended for swimming).
Otherwise, I would have chucked my Charge 3 away and bought the Bip.

Under settings there are two options on my Fitbit charge 3. Auto and normal. Neither is readable even in low light. Impossible to see in the gym when it is really needed to track heart rate. My physician wants me to limit my max heart rate but this device is useless in that regard. Too bad this product is not as good as the Charge 2 that I previously owned and gave away. Wish I had it again. Now that I have seen many other users have the same problem I know it is not just me. What are you doing to resolve this issue or will I have to buy a different brand and forget about fitbit!

I followed your instructions. The moment I clicked Brightness the screen went black. Now I can’t even see where I am on the device. 🤦:male_sign:

Ive gotten nowhere with them..only a 35%discount for something they did on their end. Replace them all cuz all the charge 3 happened to die on the same day...

After almost two years, my FitBit Charge 3 is too dim and in addition, is now blurry on the corners. Fitbit customer support of course couldn't help and because the warranty expired, I now have a useless bracelet with upgraded firmware.
what a waste of $$$, will go to buy Huawei band for one-quarter of the price.

I have tried to do the reset and it will only show sleep and then does nothing else. My face is so dim I can't check the settings, not legible at all
I loved my charge 3 until it faded out. Battery is fully charged too.

The suggestion to choose brightness in settings doesn’t work on my Charge 3. The settings are grated out and I can’t make any changes. I have stopped getting notifications that it’s time to move, too. At the moment my Fitbit is almost useless.

still can’t do. Do you mean on the watch itself or the app?
